Sustainability
We
have spent some time studying ‘Green’
buildings.
There is no doubt that
long term savings can be made for minimal
additional cost in incorporating
sustainability features into the
design.
For
most clients this involves insulation of
both the building envelope and services,
production of hot water services, heating
and ventilation, electrical control
particularly in terms of the ability to
isolate services to minimise power
losses, use of rainwater and grey water
and control of site run off via rain
gardens etc.
Incorporating many of
these features into a project will help
to future proof the building and enhance
the overall value of the
property.
Green Star ratings will
be a feature of the valuation of all
modern building.
We
are happy to discuss sustainability
features and the cost of incorporation
with your
designer.
